Is specially design for piece preservation in Pathologic Anatomy departments. COMPLUCAD HOSPITAL does not contain formaldehyde or any phenolic elements but its most outstanding characteristic is the quality of the results obtained. It can be applied by sinking or injecting according to the techniques already described.
When sinking, the piece to be preserved should be immersed for three or four days in a non metallic container with COMPLUCAD HOSPITAL .
If injecting, 70 -80 ml. of COMPLUCAD HOSPITAL should be used per kilogram.
After finishing one of these procedures, the piece can be preserved, without any additional care, in the customary containers or in a Polyethylene Bag.

The need for a fixative process is most common in histology and histopathology. Therefore, it is essential to establish and maintain the cellular structures and components. Although there are many substances with fixative properties, to date there is not a universal fixer. In addition, it is proven that most of the fixative substances are highly toxic.
COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ is a powerful bactericide that preserves histology samples at room temperature. Aside from that, the use of COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ offers many advantages to the histological and anatomopathological fields since this compound is thrombolitic and lypolictic. This effect allows a homogeneous fixation for the tissue samples avoiding blood coagulation and destroys any previous clots. COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ also offers the possibility of restoring elasticity to samples previously treated with other techniques.
COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ shows a powerful fixative effect which later allows the treatment and preservation of different histopathological and histology samples. COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ provides rapid fixations while eliminating toxicity risks for the eyes, skin and respiratory tract.
The methodology employed for a fixative process with COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ is fast and the results are highly satisfactory in optic microscopy, electronic microscopy and inmunihistochemistry.

Dilute 10 parts of COMPLUCAD MUÑIZ in 90 parts of 70% ethanol to obtain the usage solution.
The pieces to be prepared will have an approximate volume of 1 cm3 in case that the pieces are bigger the fixation time will proportionally vary.
FIXATION
After one hour and forty five minutes the piece is fixed. The limits (ranges) for a perfect fixation go from one hour and forty five minutes to four hours.
DEHYDRATION
Once the tissue is fixed, it is subject to increases of ethanol solutions with the following time schedule:
Afterwards it would be subject to a 10 minute dip in Toluene, Xylem or Histolemon.
